A Report

Mom said her brain is now officially fried so I should write a report on my night for the blog. So here I go...

My Night at the ER
by Tucker-Doodle

I had shooting poop all day yesterday and Mom kept giving me all the different medicines we have in our giant dog pharmacy. It never went away so at 11:30 last night we had to go to the doggie emergency room because she was worried I'd get de-hi-drated.

I get pretty scared even at Dr. Bill's office and I know them. The only other time I had been to the ER was when I broke my face only this time it was my butt that was broken. So they put us in this little room and when they came in they have a stick and say they had to steal my poop for a parvo test and to see if I have bugs. I got really nervous then because I didn't want a stick stuck in me so I backed up against the wall and wouldn't move.

Well she kept coming and I kept getting more scared and then the most embarrassing thing happened. Poop shot out of my butt and since I was backed up against the wall it splattered all over the wall higher than my head even. We heard a little click and when I ran away from the wall saw that it had gone in the place in the wall like where Mom plugs the evil Dyson in. I guess my poop made the safety thingy pop on it so I wouldn't get lektro-cuted, I dunno. We had to move rooms but from then on we could hear everyone else that came in all night say how stinky my poop was. That wasn't very nice I thought. The good thing was no stick, they just collected my poop from the wall for the tests.

My Parvo test was negative, I thought Mom was pretty happy about that even though she yakked in the bathroom after she heard. Something about stress relief, that's weird. I do have some alien bacteria that the doctor said probably came from the shelter with little Durango. It's really contagious until the bacteria is dead so they gave medicine to all four of us for the next week. I had to have something they called an IV drip of the medicine to try to stop my poop, it took forever and they put me in a cage during it. Can you believe it? I was insulted.

So now we're back home and Mom said we can't get sick again until Summer because we blew our doctor budget until then. In case your wondering my poop was tar-y this morning instead of water-y so something must be working.

The End.

Oh, Tucker......my mama said she talked to your mama late, late last night and that she was so worried. I told her that us dogs are resilient so not to worry. I'm glad you are feeling better. No more scaring your mama, though....ye hear?

Oh no Tucker! I hope you didn't get all poopy because of that picture I posted for you! I'm so glad you don't have the icky Parvo but the other bug doesn't sound all that great either.

Feel better & I'll say some extra special Penny prayers for you.

XOXOXOXOXO!

Tucker dude,
You guys have to quit doing that to your poor mom. She is going to lose it pretty soon. We are so glad you do not have Parvo. We hope the medication takes care of whatever it is you do have. Mom laughed out loud about the poop on the wall and in the plug in part. Oh and hey the box we had sent to you is supposed to get there on Tuesday.

What a time of it you've had, Tucker! We sure hope you feel better soon! Thank goodness it's not parvo!

Love ya lots,

Aw poor Tucker! Well I am quite relieved you don't have Parvo and I have to admit that I giggled a bit about you blowing circuits with your shootin' poop (which I'm sure smelled LOVELY). Take good care of yourself and your mom. Get well soon!

wally

ps. Have you heard of this stuff called Vibactra? It is supposed to be good for infections. My friend Tuchuck took it because he came home from the shelter with some shootin' poop too.

Tucker,

You did a good job of telling the story -- which would be kinda' funny if it weren't so awfully stressful to live through.

We're glad you all know what's wrong and how to fix it. Just be patient.

Lots of wirey hugs (from the front end, just in case...)

Oh, Tucker,

What a scare you gave your mom. We didn't think you would get Parvo from Durango, but no wonder he was so sick! He had multiple problems.

We had to laugh, even though we know it wasn't funny at the time. We're glad you and your pack are getting medicine to help you. Get well soon.

PS - We're sure your mom is glad you didn't hit her socket with your smelly poop. We wonder if that's a first at the vet's?

Oh man Tucker, You're mom must be a basket case with all of this. I'm so glad you are okay. Like Wally, I had a little chuckle about the shooting poop at the vets. Sounds like maybe you released your anal glands. That's what I did at the vet when they tried to put me on the xray table. Peeeee-euw. Stinky, stinky, stinky. Even too stinky for me.

I hope the other brats don't shoot poo too. That would be messy.

Hi Tucker,

So happy that the test was Parvo negative, and that they have medecine to help you all out. I had to laugh when I read your post I had the shooty poop once too. It was everywhere in my bedroom, the wall, the bench, the magazine rack (and all over the magazines), the dresser and on Mom's backpack. Ooops, what can we do? Apparently it just needs to get out! Hope your meds work quick. Stay healthy and give your Mom some extra love, she's been through a lot with you guys and probably could use an extra cuddle or two.

Your pal,
Kirby

Tucker...seriously dog...I know the "exploding butt of poop" isn't really your fault, but you and the gang really need to start staying healthy before your Mom ends up getting sick! I don't know what happens when humans get sick, but I DEFINITELY know that I wouldn't want them shooting their poop all over our walls. So get better and stay that way! Mom says she sends her thoughts your way and to your Mom and we send labby-love over to you all!

Hello Tucker! I'm glad you don't have parvo, and good luck to all of you on your new meds. Hopefully this will be the last scare for you guys for a long long time! Hugs to you all, and Maryann.

I experienced some water-poo this weekend too, along with vomiting that smelled like the water-poo.

I can feel your pain.

I am not only allowed to eat white rice. No treats. It's hell.

I know it probably wasn't funny at the time, but that is a very funny story. At least you didn't have to have the stick put up your butt like the girls did. Hopefully this bacteria stuff will go away soon so you can all get back to feeling better and having fun.
