Miss Millie

I wanted to let our friends know that Millie crossed the Bridge this evening. I will post details later, just not up to it right now.  It was three years ago to the day, April 11th, 2008, that I picked up Millie from a shelter volunteer in Oklahoma.  She was 17 then and although I always knew she wouldn't have a lot of time left I still can't believe she's so suddenly gone. I love you little girl.

We are asking for good thoughts for Dot, she's in possible kidney failure and the next few days will be crucial.
Thank you for being our friends.  We love you all.

We are keeping paws crossed for Dot, and hoping for a recovery. And we are sorry that Millie is running at the Bridge, but we know that her years with y'all were wonderful, full of love and joy and lots of treats.

Teka says that they must have needed another boss at the Bridge, she knows Millie is a real pro.

We're so sad to hear Millie has left you -- and are praying that Dot will recover. Millie was so fortunate to have you as her mom in her last years -- you gave her the love she was missing in her first years. They will be telling stories at the Bridge!

Thank you for making Millie's last few years so wonderful. Everyone deserves a mama like you. Still, we are sorry for your loss. And praying for Dot to be healed...and praying for you.

People like you who take in unwanted older dogs are such rare beings. You gave Millie a great life and you didn't put a paw wrong with her. So sorry she has gone, but thinking how much you loved her. Sweet dreams Millie xxx
