We interrupt this blog...

...to let our human butt in as always. -Samantha

I try not to do this very often, but this is unfortunately one of those times. We're hosting a fundraiser to help a small rescue here that is in dire need. Ginger (They Are All God's Creatures Pitbull Rescue) helps a lot of dogs that otherwise wouldn't have a chance in a shelter and she pulls dogs that many other rescues won't. She does rescue mostly bully breeds, but never says no if she has the means to help any kind of dog. She's also pulled quite a few seniors that had no chance otherwise. (and we all know what a sucker I am for the seniors)

I know we don't have a lot of bully-lovin' friends and to be honest I wasn't really one until my Best Friends trip. I try to look at it that a dog is a dog is a dog and when in need it really doesn't matter to me what breed they are. Plus she is the rescue that stepped up to save Rulon on his last day and everyday I get to foster him is a reminder of her good work. I set up a blog if anyone is interested in learning more or passing along the word to their dog-loving friends.

Thanks for any help in spreading the word, I really appreciate it!

OK, when my ma ape gives me her plastic later I will make a donation! So awesome!

We have mostly bullies in our SPCA. If you were wondering about Big Red--he's probably safe. The old shelter director was awful and would put "unadoptable dogs" down right away but the new woman is slowly making it a no-kill shelter and the kennel manager has a soft spot for bully breeds. My ma ape has told them that if he is ever in trouble he can come be fostered at our house.

We love bully breeds. Mom says no money right now but we want to donate on the first.

It's sad to hear that. Will help to spread words around for you.

You are sooo right...a dog is a dog is a dog! We think dogs only turn into bullies because of bad people!

We admire anyone who takes on this type of mission.

I love your blog! I am also a fellow four-legged friend lover and have two kitties of my own, Mocha and Furball. As I was browsing through the Internet and reading through a bunch of pet blogs, I stumbled upon yours. After going through a lot of entries on your site, I can sense a mutual genuine adoration we have for our animals.

I am a huge enthusiast of making sure our pets receive the care they need and deserve. I am lucky enough to be working with LocalVets.com because it has allowed me to pursue this very passion.
Our core value is to connect pets in need with veterinarians who care. We currently work with over 2,000 vets across the country from large organizations like Banfield to one doctor locations. We even work with professional veterinary associations such as VHMA, http://www.vhma.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=266.

I have found LocalVets.com to be a great resource for pet owners like us to use when seeking the closest and most suitable veterinarian in their neighborhood. As you have experience with vet visits, you know first hand how dreadful it can be for your pet and even you. Yet, it is inevitable in order to keep our pet healthy and more importantly, when an emergency arises.

There are not enough pet owners who provide their pets with the recommended veterinary visits of twice a year, especially for cats with an average of less than one visit a year. LocalVets.com can provide a directory that will be extremely helpful and effective for the pet owner in locating a veterinarian in their vicinity who can help them with their pet’s necessary treatment.

Let me know if you have a few minutes to discuss an opportunity to include a link on your blog.

Thanks!

Yours Truly,

Pearl
