Still no snow...

...but it's reeeeally cold. It's Samantha and we spent all day Sunday hanging out in the back soaking up the cold. Here's the thing though - we only like to be out if Mom leaves the back door open for us. She wasn't too enthused since it was so cold out so I had to have a little chat with her and give her "the look".Twenty minutes later I was Queen of the Retaining Wall. I'd like to go on record that I've actually LOST weight since we started bloggin' but all my pictures make me look bloated. It's not true, the camera LIES I tell ya.The boys owe me a treat each for hooking us up with the backdoor, they like hanging out in the cold too. We certainly hope our backyard looks like a paradise come Spring. (In case Mom's reading we'd also like a sun ledge.)
In other news, we helped Mom clean the living room and move the furniture around. Here's Bear doing some work. He was convinced that lying on the couch everytime she tried to move it was helping.Sorry, Sherm, no pics of Dot this time around. She HATES the cold and hides out in bed when the door is open. Wimp.

Sam -
We did the same thing here. It gets cold out, nice out really if you are a dog and you have fur, and The Mom starts moving furniture and grumbling about being cold. Hey, not my fault she wasn't born a Husky!
I think Bear was probably a great help.

We like the back door open when we are outside to and mom says she's tired of that. Hey mom says to tell your mom she loves the windows in your living room

Sam,

You make a mighty fine queen. We like being outside in the cold but we want the door open, too. And then she starts the whining about "heating bills" and "goosebumps." If she'd just grow her own fur coat this wouldn't be a problem.

My ma ape says your house is very nice and much cleaner than ours. I happen to really like the eye candy!

wally.

P.S. The camera adds 10 pounds, they say! I hope you're not wasting away Samantha. Do I need to sneak down to Texas to toss biscuits at your window?
PPS. My sissy gets cold much faster than me because she is like -10% body fat. I think it's good to have a little junk in the trunk!

Hey Sam, I love your retaining wall, and your Bear. I hope his paw is getting better so he can get back to work on a new construction project.

They always say the camera adds 10 pounds. It looks like you've got the sad eyes down pat!

I think your living room looks good.

Mom loves to rearrange furniture too but no way do I want to be in the same room with the evil Hoover that seems to go with that project!
Your room looks nice and spacious, guys!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Sometimes I look fat too in the pictures or too skinny but it's the camera, not me. What happened to Bear's poor paw paw?

Love licks,

Wow...you definitely look good as the queen, you just need a crown!!! The boys totally owe you for that door thing...I know my Mom wouldn't be too happy to leave the door open like that!!!

Have a great day! Lots of Licks, Ruby

P(ee)S: March 19th...tell your Mom, she'll know what it means

Well hello pretty Samantha. I don't think you look heavy at all.
And those soulful eyes could melt the hardest heart!

My mom named her first kitty Dot-Spot because she couldn't decide between dot and spot. She didn't have nearly as many spots as your Dot-Spot, how did she get her name?

What a squeeky-clean house! And that's what I call helping out, Bear! I would have to agree with Dot-Spot....when it's cold, I run for the covers :)

I know from experience that the camera makes one look , um , generously endowed. I had muzzer convinced until a three year old kid at the store said "look mommy, chubby puppy!" Moral...stay away from little kids!

ps muzzer likes the windows too

That's how I help, too! I'm really good at helping make the bed. I lay right in the middle of the bed.

PS Hey Bear. I see you don't have to wear the collar thing anymore. Does that mean you're leaving your bandage alone?

hi all! thanks for stopping by and mommy would like to thank you all for your sympathies!

i love the rearranging you all did, it looks like you'll have a nice open floor for lounging and playing!

btw - i'm totally telling mom to get me one of those sun ledge things too! it's too cold to go out for very long here so that would be nice!

Bear as the right idea. How else will you get an honest view of how it realllly looks if it doesn't have an occupant? You're lucky your mom will leave the door open. Ours just tells us to hurry up when we're on our way in. Geeesh!
