Lovin' the cold front...

Hey, it's Thrawn. It's still pretty early but I'm having a great morning! A big cold front came in last night and you know what that means. Yep, 4 am I busted down the mystery room gate and snuck by the gate in the bedroom (didn't even knock it down I'm so stealthy). When Mom finally woke up she could hear me lying in her room drinking water.

She grumbled a lot but got up to let me out, without her glasses on. She stumbled into the living room and found the surprise I left for her...it squished all up between her toes and I could tell she really appreciated it. In my defense the room smelled rank from my ass so I don't know why she was so surprised. So now she's standing on one foot on the rug, no way to get to the kitchen or back to the bathroom without hopping the whole way virtually blind in the dark. I really gotta go again by now so I'm at the backdoor banging the bells to get her to hurry. She starts to hop over to the backdoor, but loses her balance (she's no graceful Sitka's Mom) so now my gift is smeared all the way across the rug. Good times.

I went out and enjoyed the cold while she cleaned her feet and scrubbed the rug. It was almost 5 am by the time she laid down on the couch to sleep the rest of the morning but she snapped this shot of me relaxing outside. I figured I shouldn't feel too bad if she was ok enough to take pictures still. I waited till she fell asleep on the couch and went back into the kitchen to sleep, I just wanted to make sure she left the back door open to keep the house cold.

You are one busy husky. Does your mom appreciate the "spa treatment" you are providing for her feet? I see you have not adjusted to the time change also. Me and Missy have been getting up at 5AM too. Why don't they just leave the time thing alone.

Mom left a message on your mom's cell to order the dog begs. We hope they connect soon.

We the new weather too! We stayed outside almost the whole time Mom and Dad were getting ready for work this morning. We even got in trouble for running around barking at each other. Mom doesn't let us bark outside before 7 AM because we have a really mean neighbor who yells. (He must be unhappy because he doesn't have a husky.)

Does your mom let you go to the dog park ever? There is one in NRH that hasn't ever been very busy when we've been there. Maybe we could meet each other there sometime before we move.

Woo-Woo, Thrawn, you are a hoot! At least you let her know that you had to go again. AND, she is getting her exercise with the hopping on one foot. You look good in the early morning.

That is too too funny. The photoshoot was funny, but this is like tantissimo funny. Ok, I have to nominate you for post of the month. The thought of wandering out without glasses (contact lenses for me) in the middle of the morning/night is just hysterical. Good one Maryann.

OMG!!! That is rank yes! I trod in a dog-egg yesterday, but my foot was housed, although my left shoe now lives in a plastic bag in the boot of my car waiting for me to brave decontamination :[

P.S. MaryAnn, May I never have one of those nights. I can just imagine what goes through your mind when you half asleep, half blind, stepping in dog doo in the middle of the night. You deserve a medal for that one!
