Bones & Food, Yum.

Hey pals, it's Samantha. Mom brought home new food last night, we're always excited when we see a new bag come in so we can taste test. We're not lucky like you other guys and get loads of raw meat, but don't get me started on that. No grain food...hmmmm....wonder if I'll miss it. She said something about less poop but who knows about that.It took FOREVER for her to get it all mixed up with the can food and other junk she sticks in there and thinks we don't know about. I kept telling her to hurry.Tucker just stood around and drooled all over the floor...what's up with that giant licker??Rulon just looked like a goober, as usual. So finally we eat...I like it. Bear's the only one who scunched up his nose and turned away, but maybe that was from the flax seed junk she added. He's going to try it tonight without. Oooor maybe he just wanted to be handfed and babied like he might keel over if he misses one meal. Uh, no, has anyone seen his hips lately?

After dinner the freezer opened and some magic came out!! Frozen buffalo bones...this might not seem too exciting for you lucky dogs out there but it is for us. See, we tried some turkey necks a few months back and well, the next day was NOT pretty when Mom got home. OMD these were so good, I think we should have them every single day!!! (Ding Dong Rulon doesn't know how to use his paws to hold on in case you're wondering...)This is kinda scary, but I'm posting it anyway. This is how she looks at Rulon everytime he walks by, bone or not. She had to go to time-out TWO times last night, but that's not my story to tell. (I just wanted to scoop the news)
Going to take a nap...hopefully I'll be posting more if the rest of them stop hogging the blog.

This post has my two FAVORITE things in it! Sam and food! I hope you guys do great with the bones. We fortunately had a pretty easy transition to raw with no explosions. Let us know how you like that fancy new food! We sometimes eat kibble and my ma ape is always looking for new good stuff.

I agree that the other dogs have been hogging the blog and we need a bit more Samantha. These posts are not nearly revealing enough if you catch my drift!

I recognize that Millie look! Teka has the same one in her book of tricks. She uses it on me LOTS. It gets her unearned treats, the best spot in the bed and alll kinds of goodies.

Yum-O. I take the bones out into the yard and bury them. Thus we don't get them very often.

Those bones look delicious! Last fall, Mom switched us to a grain-free food and she can testify to the better poop. Steve used to have smooshy poop, but now it's rock solid! (TMI??)

Hey Samantha,
It's us, the Bumpass VA contingent of the Samantha fan club. You did the most excellent reporting job in decades. You got everything just right. We all don't get any raw meat, we get raw Pedigree Kibble except for Sophie. Sophie gets raw Purina Overweight management (OM) kibble and string beab and carrots. Those buffalo bones look good but they don't sell them around here.

Too bad you guys sploded from those necks. I love them and my teeth are perfect because of them. But I like raw bones too. I might have to ask for one right this very second.
