I feel cruddy.

It's Samantha.  I woke up this morning and didn't feel good AT ALL.  I didn't want to lift my head up, or get out of bed or even take a treat.  Once Mom forced me to get up I was limping a little too.  You know what that means....I had to go to the D-O-C-T-O-R.  I didn't even care about looking out the windows of the Brat Mobile.I was poked and prodded and they said I had a fever of 103.9, but all my other pieces and parts were ok. They said my body must be fighting off something and hopefully I'll be better in a couple days.  I'm only tinkling a little at a time though so they are worried a little about that.  They stuck a giant needle the size of the Empire State Building in my butt and sent home a bunch of antibiotics too I have to swallow.  Now I'm stuck in the front bedroom all by myself to "rest" and I have some people food to sucker me into eating and drinking.  I hope this goes away soon so I'll feel like playing and doing fun stuff, being sick is no fun.  Mom says we only get sick on major holidays and weekends when the regular doctor is closed.  I don't think I'll be awake to watch the ball drop tonight.

Woe is me.

(PS from the human....any ideas of anything to make her feel better?  Should I be worrying more than I already am?)

Chicken broth popsicles? That would sound yummy if it wasn't so cold. But for a sick kitty, they might hit the spot.

Samantha, get well soon!

Happy New Year!

You poor thing! That's not a good way to start off the new year!!! I bet lots of ear scratches and belly rubs will make you feel lots better. I hop the antibiotics kill all the bad germs in you and you feel better soon.

PS Tell your mom if she's anything like my mom, she's probably over-worrying right now.

OH NO SAM! I only get sick on holidays, too. Preferably this time of year. But you should not try to be like me--just try to like me!

I hope you are feeling better soon. If you are having problems peeing are you either dehydrated or do you have a UTI? Either way--my ma ape is a big fan of the chicken broth that everyone mentioned. And snugs always help, too. I'm worried about you and I wish I could be there to rest with you.

ps. You had an angry pancreas once, right? I'm assuming they checked all that stuff?

We won't be watching the ball drop either, Sam, so don't feel bad! We hope you feel better soon! Dad is treating us to a spoonful of ice cream for the new year! Maybe that would help you to feel better too?!

Love ya lots,

Hey Samantha,
This is Shelby Belle of TBH. I was sick like you last month http://bumpasshounds.blogspot.com/2008/12/shelby-belles-feeling-bad.html and I had to go to the doctor because mom and dad were afraid i was dehydrated but the vets said I was just a little and i didn't need and IV. I got antibiotics too and mom and dad had to with hold all food for 24 hours which I didn't care for. I had awhole bowl of ice chips and mom and dad kept it full. I was all better within a few days. http://bumpasshounds.blogspot.com/2008/12/shelby-belle-is-feeling-well.html I hope you get over this quick After you get better you can milk your mom for nice treats and pats for a few more days before they catch on; at least I could. If you don't feel better in a few days you have to go back to the D-O-C-T-O-R. So get well quick, please Sam.

Get well Sam.
Those are good looking treats that you got from Steve and Kat.
We want some of those moo tubes. Do they really cause bad gas.

If it is a kidney problem best to drink as much as possible. I hope the antibiotics will help real soon. Rest is best and some nibbling and drinking.

Try to drink lots of water, Sam. Sounds like a UTI to me. Hope the antibios have kicked in and you're feeling better! Hope all of you have a happy, healthy, fun year!

As a fellow Keeper-Of-An-Angry-Pancrease, I would suspect something related to that. Did they test your blood for levels? Keep resting, and don't forget to snatch up all the cuddles and kisses you can!
