Just throwing this out there...

Hey! Wanna come visit me?

It's Maryann stealing the blog for a moment.

When I went to Best Friends in March a few people expressed interest in going but it was too last minute. (Well, except for risk taker extraordinaire Jen) ;) I booked again for next year and wanted to post in case anyone out there was interested in going at the same time. (March 7th - 14th, 2009) While it was interesting being there solo it was much more fun once Jen was there to share stuff with. (She probably wishes she were there alone, lol) There's so many different things to do there even besides Best Friends - you're in the middle of a ton of National & state parks and the scenery is out of this world. I didn't make a point of seeing all the sights but definitely want to this trip.

At the risk of sounding like a total cheeseball, I have to say that it was a life changing experience and honestly one of my favorite vacations ever. Only you other loony animal people wouldn't mind picking up dog poop on vacation so I have no hesitation bringing this up. There are things at the Sanctuary for about every animal interest and you can do as little or as much as you want. I did book a cottage on their property, I'm not sure what else is still available but there are also a ton of places to stay in "town". They have more info on their site or shoot me an email if you're interested.
PS I KNOW, I KNOW before anyone even says it...I haven't finished the trip blog yet. ;)

I do NOT wish I were there alone!! And I can second that is was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. Life changing is completely accurate.

I'm definitely planning on going back but probably won't be till 2010. Hope you go back in 2010!!!

I think I'm going to make a point for it to be an annual trip from now on so count me in for 2010. ;)
(wow, that sounds weird to say)

R - I hope and pray J is home by then and NOT just so you can go to BF!

My human says she'd LOVE to go, but I can't let her... yet. She's still needed around the house and family at the moment. But we'll definitely keep this in mind in the years to come!

Ya know, if you can put up with one of those cat people I might just do this. I have done worse than scooping dog poop! Hmmm...

Hello BratPack.

Ahhh. We were so happy to hear about your trip to Best Friends. What an awesome place, and you are wonderful for helping out all those animals in need! Mom says she'd like to clone you.

Hopefully you will find someone to go out there with you. Love the pictures on your post btw
