In our defense...

All is fair in love and food.

If it's within reach then it stands to reason we're meant to eat it.

How were we supposed to know it was part of the Christmas stash?

If humans are truly the superior species then why would they leave something irresistible like this clearly in plain view at the bottom of a shopping bag with piles of useless stuff from the mall on top of it and then covered with a blanket?
I hope they replace them before it's time to stuff our stockings. -Tucker

PS Bear wants me to post that he was incarcerated in the kitchen at the time and therefore can not be blamed. I would like to point out that his freakishly long legs allow him to step over the gates, therefore making it entirely possible he was at the scene of the crime.

Ha-woo! If a nice smelling food is within reach, then it's fair game, no? Those snacks are deserved!

We had a few incidences like that at our house too lately but I swear it was always Zoe that dragged the bag off the table but then she did share with me. We hope Santa Paws was not looking.

Wow! All I have to say is THOSE TREATS LOOK YUMMY! I say that none of the 4 of you can be blamed until there is evidence to prove that one of the 4 of you (or all) were involved in this crime. Otherwise it is all speculatory at this point!

Hugs,
Sitka

I completely agree with you guys. Not our fault we outsmart the apes.

Were they good? They look good enough to eat.

Oh wow. Doesn't your mom know that the top of the fridgerader is where dog goodies go? If not, don't tell her. I think you can make the "left 'em where we can find em." thing go around one more time.

Oh my great job you guys and girls of course. You are totally not to blame. Any human who leaves that stuff lying around deserves for it to be eaten.

What did the humans expect? You're just trying to teach them to clean up better. It only took our pawrents 930230290 times of us chewing up stuff to get it!

humans are not so smart. they don't understand that we will find anything anywhere if it is food. we can't be blamed. it's a gift that we have. humans don't understand it because they don't have our gift.

our mom leaves that kind of stuff in a special room with the door closed. so far, Brody has only figured out how to open the closet door, but not the bedroom door. he's working on it though!

happy woofers.

I've noticed lots of good smells coming from a room I am locked out of. I wonder if I have stuff like that in there?

Meeshka, attorney at claw, is ready to defend you if charges aren't dropped immediately. Clearly the humans are at fault here.

did they cover it with blanket?!?!!
they really should accept that fact that we aren't really THAT dumb rite, having stayed with us under one roof for so many years!

erm, can we come by your place one day...?

I totally agree. I mean if they don't want us to have it they shouldn't leave it within our reach. And since I have a foot long needlenose, I can surf the counter wayyyyyy back, so EVERYTHING is within my reach.

I wish you happy hounds very happy holidays and I wish I could lick your faces right now.
