We have a new friend...

Hi, it's Tucker. Tonight Mom was taking the trash out and got quite the scare. Apparently from a long way away in the middle of the street a kinda short & really fat brown dog looks JUST like a tall & really skinny brown dog and she freaked thinking it was Bear. She suckered him in with treats, he was missing his collar and we'd never seen him around the neighborhood before. (and I watch our street every single day from the bedroom window) She started walking him around the neighborhood asking everyone but no luck. Next that lucky dog got to ride in the car to the Emergency Vet to be checked for a microchip.

Come to find out he lives right across the street where the new people moved in! They were having a new fence put in and there was an opening they didn't know about. His name is Isiah but they call him Bubba and he's twelve years old! Sam wanted to keep him cause he made her look skinny. Mom just looked worried about having six dogs. I don't know why. Bubba also has a Great Dane brother, maybe we'll get to meet him sometime. We need some friends in our 'hood.

Sherman's almost 12 years old & my Mom calls him Bubba. And he's kinda short & really fat! Are you sure it wasn't Sherm looking for Dot????

Bear has a twin! That is great that you took him to check for a microchip and so cool that he lives right across the street. I bet his family was relieved to get him back so quick and safe. Good job! Oh and I do like the sound of when you said worrying about having 6 dogs meaning you have 5 now meaning that's a permanent thing..... :)

Five, six... what's the difference? ;-)

How cool - a Bear look-alike and a Great Dane for neighbors! I'm jealous!

I had the same thought as Lisa! Does worrying about 6 mean there are 5 permanent?
Good neighbors are fun, I wish I had some. The ones I used to like now get on my nerves. Maybe you can all get together to play some day!

Hi, Tucker. Yes, Bubba looks like Bear but fatter. So nice that your mom took the time to find out where he lives, sure he is happier now. And he has a brother, wow, two new friends!
Have a nice day!

You were close to being "six happy hounds". It must have been a pretty big gap in the fence for him to get out. Seems like that would be kinda hard to miss.

ha roo... Fleasgang's comment of "you were close to being six happy hounds" made me laugh!

So, how is Bear doing with working his way into the family permanently??

I think Bubba must be glad he met the Brat Pack. Darn, I wish all of ya lived next door..

Your mom sure was super to help Bubba! He and Bear could be twins, except for the weight thing. It would have been cool to have another member of the pack. Once there is 5 of you, what's one more? But its great that you have 2 new doggie neighbors that are getting a new fence. Sounds like PLAY TIME! Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva.
P.S. How is Bear doing?

Wow, I really thought that was Bear, even after you said it wasn't him, Tucker! ;)

How cool that you guys have 2 new friends. I hope the Great Dane is nice. In my experience, they are, although I did scare a GD puppy before that was about 10 times my size, LOL!
