I've changed my mind.

Thrawn here - it was a weird fluke that I posted earlier in the week about that squeak toy on the video - then Mom's friend Sherry called and told her she had found some! The house next to her is being built and her lawn guys told her the other day they saw them sleeping over there. She waited a couple days but there was no sign of a Mom cat so she decided to help them. I was pretty excited about this cause this could mean either a toy or a snack for me. Either way I win.

Mom went and got them tonight so we could meet them and take some pictures. It wasn't what I thought it would be like, believe me. Those spawns of Satan were NOT all fun and cuddly, they hisssed and spit at us. Evil, I tell ya. Disney has really lead us down the primrose path with showing us these sweet and kind felines on tv. (Maryann - not evil, just very young and reeeally scared) Poor Tucker almost wet on himself when one of them screamed when he tried to sniff it. (actually, it was pretty funny) Even Dot wouldn't make eye contact with them anymore after they tried to eat her. They're small, but you gotta have some pretty big cojones to try to eat the spotted pig. (They did NOT try to eat her) Either way I'm glad they've gone back to Sherry's house. There is enough competition for attention here already. -Thrawn

From Maryann...if anyone in the DFW area is interested or could help with these guys it would be greatly appreciated. They are young and very scared, I think this is probably the first time they've had any human interaction. After you hold them for a while they're ok, they just need to be socialized. She's gotten them on some waiting lists for rescues, but as we know all the shelters are full. Like us she's a 5 dog family. :)

If only you were in Alabama I know I could help! They are so cute. I hope you guys can find a rescue group there to work with soon.

Thrawn I'm with you on that. We have some of those things where I live and they are always mean to me...they hiss at me, they follow me and try and hit me...not nice at all! But all that aside, they are just a little cute and deserve to have a happy home just like us.

Lots of Licks, Ruby

Thrawn, those things sound scary... To want to try to eat Dot
I'm glad you guys didn't get hurt from the encounter with them.

Oooh, my mom is soooo tempted to help out with those little guys. She loves kitties, and she tamed my little sister Chloe, who was a feral when she found and trapped her. Hmmm. She'll have to think about that. Do they have to stay together or could they be split up?

Hey Avery,

They could be split up I'm sure. I wish I could foster them but it's a bit too much right now with everything else going on. Bear also does NOT seem to be small animal friendly.

Mom wishes we lived closer so she could help. I have to say, I'm glad we're not. We already have one and he's more than enough! They're cute, but they are evil! They get worse with age, too! My cat brother just turned 3 and he thinks he's better than everybody in the entire world!

My mom worked pretty hard on my dad about fostering one of the little kitties, but I think at this point they just can't help out. We're going out of town quite a bit these days, which would make it hard. Plus, Dad is afraid that we would end up with another permanent addition to the family (which, given Mom's softness for animals is extremely likely). Sorry it took us so long to get back to you about it! I hope those little guys are doing well and have found good foster homes.
