Woe is us.

Dakota (and Thrawn) here. Having Mom home the last few days has been fun even though we haven't done much except stare at her sleep and cough. Yesterday she seemed all distressed that when Thrawn did a big husky full body shake with the sun behind him in the living room it looked like a giant poof of dust flew everywhere. Personally I think it was from the house, but she seemed to believe it was the Husky. Later on she "claimed" to see the same thing with me.

Fast forward to today and I saw her headed towards me with the SOAP. Ick. I was marched to the chamber and scrubbed down like a prisoner. Well, the massaging shower head feels good after the soap is out but I'd never admit it to her. Ever. I made one final attempt at looking pitiful before she started, but it didn't work.

Don't take my picture when I'm being humiliated! You should have seen all the booootiful fur I lost down that drain! I'm lucky I'm not naked.

Hold on, now Thrawn wants to tell his horror story.

OK, Thrawn here now. Can you believe she had the nerve to wash off my Husky Aura? I mean, it takes a long time to get that special husky yellow going on and my masculine smell. Sure enough, after she let Dakota free she shoved me into the shower. I tried stiff legging it, no dice. Sigh. Here I am trying to shove the door open, I'm not going to make it easy. If only the SPCA could see this pic, I think they'd have something to say.

I have to agree with Dakota, that massager part does kind of feel good but not good enough to tolerate this crap.

I don't look pleased because I'm NOT. Plus she's still sick so not only am I stuck in that sauna but she's hacking away like a 3 pack a day smoker. I'm sure this isn't a sterile environment for me.

So now we're both clean and she's so proud of herself. While she had me trapped Dakota got on her bed and rolled all through her sheets and comforter and while she was drying herself off I ran outside through the dirt. Since I was still wet that made MUD which I then tracked all over the kitchen and living room. They never learn that they can't win, we'll always outsmart them.

I'm so sorry, but I am laughing my head off here at the end of the story with the bed roll and mud making! I had to give Sammy a bath today to try and relieve her skin allergies. She did sit on my bed afterwards, but she was only slightly damp by then. I hope your mommy feels better and that you don't have baths any time in th near future.

Great job! I'm sorry you got the bath (so did we last week), but you made up for it in style!

Oh, Thrawn! I can't believe you rolled in the mud! :) Twix always gets his baths outside and when mommy's done he goes and rolls around in the grass and dirt, too!
Good work on getting dirty again!
Puggy kisses xoxo

Oh, man, you guys get the shower too? It's the worst. Outside, you can sometimes get away, but in the shower, you're trapped. I can totally sympathize. Last time we got the shower, Kat peed on the floor after it was over, just to show her disapproval.

*sigh* I have to have baths twice a week, so I can't really sympathize. You guys are LUCKY you only get them once in a while.... If you take the wet towel and drag it all over the house when you're done, it makes everthing wet and you'll feel a little better, too....

Well done dogs! We must fight the urge to bathe us whenever the apes get it.
